This role would primarily be within the remit of geospatial data and web based mapping tools, contributing to global-scale platforms and services with Ruby Role – Lead Software Architect As a Lead Ruby Architect you will be working in a highly varied role, responsible for a combination of systems architecture tasks and software development, helping the organisation to improve their services in a bid to help the planet.
You will be working on setting the technical direction whilst technical leadership and shaping the architectural decisions to leverage the organisations growth to provide better outcomes for wildlife.
This role provides complex and challenging work but will be critical to shaping their innovation within their space.
Lead Software Architect Requirements: 5+ years of Ruby Development Strong experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), ArcGIS, and QGIS Experience with Web Mapping experience (PostGIS, CartoDB) Experience using GIT/ Version Control Experience with leading technical teams Experience with JavaScript and Front End Development Experience with updating software and database versions on Unix-based systems Undergraduate degree in computer science (Desirable) An interest in the natural world (Desirable) Offer – Lead Ruby Architect Up to £75,000 12% Pension Contribution Flexible Working Model Rewarding Work Ruby, Ruby on Rails, GIS, Geographic Information System, Ruby Developer, Ruby Architect, Lead
