my client who is a leader in synthetic fuel production, is looking for talented individuals to join our team as Operations Technician and Lead Operations Technician .
These roles are critical in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable production of synthetic fuels.
Role: Lead Operations Technician Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Location: Oxfordshire Salary: £45k to £50k Industry: Synthetic Fuel Lead Operations Technician Key Responsibilities: Set the standard for the operations shift team by leading through example.
Detect inconsistencies in test rigs and spearhead problem-solving efforts.
Address technical challenges promptly with decisive actions.
Develop expertise in the operating procedures for test and development equipment.
Establish and implement agreed-upon operations, maintenance procedures, policies, and safe working practices within your areas of responsibility.
Oversee and execute repair and maintenance activities for process equipment used in synthetic fuel development.
Interpret and work confidently with P&ID drawings and standard operating procedures.
Ensure a seamless and clear shift change handover.
Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
Coach and mentor the Operations team, focusing on maintaining operational integrity and fostering the growth of junior staff.
Maintain a clean, organized workplace, ensuring the facility meets showcase standards and is always ready for visits from guests and VIPs.
Qualifications: Strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience in supervision and leadership.
Computer – typical desktop software.
Familiar with operating test rig software.
Operating high temperature process equipment.
To be able to read and work from P&ID diagrams.
To be able to work from engineering drawings.
Experience in monitoring real-time data.
Team player Can do attitude.

Detect inconsistencies in test rigs, investigate issues, and take corrective actions as necessary.
Adhere to and refine operating procedures for test and development equipment.
Ensure compliance with established operations, maintenance procedures, policies, and safe working practices within your area of responsibility.
Interpret and apply knowledge of P&ID drawings.
Prepare and deliver clear, concise shift change handover reports.
Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform repair and maintenance tasks on process equipment used in synthetic fuel development.
Qualifications: Expertise in synthetic fuel production or similar processes is highly desirable.
