Lead Medical Writer - Oncology

Lead Medical Writer - United Kingdom (Remote) BioTalent are Partnered with a global medical communications agency and we are looking for a Lead Medical Writer to join the team with extensive experience in publications and ideally exposure to oncology.
You will lead delivery on small-to-medium accounts, ensuring top-quality work on time and within budget, while mentoring junior writers and fostering team development.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Writing: Develop and review deliverables like manuscripts, slide decks, reports, and meeting materials.
Scientific Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge across therapy areas, with emerging expertise in one.
Client Management: Build strong client relationships, lead meetings, and help shape client strategies.
Project Leadership: Manage projects end-to-end, including conferences and events, with minimal senior input.
Team Mentorship: Coach junior writers, provide actionable feedback, and oversee their work.
Financial Oversight: Collaborate on budgets, manage timelines, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
Qualifications: Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, etc.)
in a relevant field.
4–6 years of medical writing experience.
Expertise in scientific and editorial review.
Strong client-facing and team leadership skills.
