Lead/Head Of Frontend Development

Hybrid from our offices in London, Manchester or Chester. UK remote considered.
We're looking for an established Lead / Head of Frontend Development with a minimum 5 years development experience. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our UK frontend development, ensuring high quality code, driving innovation and delivering exceptional user experiences for our customers.

Must haveRequirementsProven experience leading successful teams and delivering high quality software products.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues and optimise performance.
Experience working in an Agile environment, with a focus on iterative development and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication with the ability to collaborate effectively with global and cross functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and consultancy experience is beneficial.
Technical RequirementsExperienced in SPA development.
Core DutiesResponsibilitiesLead and grow the UK frontend development team, providing guidance, feedback and support.
Collaborate with product, design and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Define and implement best practices, coding standards and development processes to ensure scalability and performance of our frontend codebase.
Stay current with the latest technologies, advocating for adoption of new tools and techniques that enhance productivity and improve user experience.
Manage projects from conception to delivery, effectively communicating updates on status, risks and opportunities with both internal and external stakeholders.
Keep hands on code: React web development, bug-fixing, integration with API and CMS, writing unit tests.
Conduct code reviews and quality assurance testing to identify and address issues early in the development lifecycle.
