Lead Engineer

My client within energy trading is looking for a Lead Engineer to join the team.
The project will involve working on real-time commodity trading systems to ensure maximum uptime for trading systems across markets.
This is a Lead Engineer role which will involve 70 percent hands-on C++ development work and 30 percent tech lead responsibilities. You will be involved in architectural planning and project discussions.
The role will be working within different commodity trading projects.
Requirements: Hands-on C++ development experience. Quant / Etrading / Market Making experience. Real-time trading systems development. Commodities experience is a nice to have. Interaction with Traders. This is an initial 6-month contract paying up to £1000 per day via umbrella with a high chance of extension.
This role is hybrid and requires 2-3 days a week in the London office.
