Lead DevOps Engineer – £75,000 to £85,000 – Hybrid (2 days in Office) Xpertise is partnering with an innovative company seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in their transformation from a monolithic architecture to cloud-native solutions on AWS .
This position is ideal for a skilled DevOps Engineer looking to take the next step, with mentorship from both an experienced CTO and Head of Platform.

The Role: As Lead DevOps Engineer, you'll work closely with a team of 4-5 engineers to build scalable, cloud-native services on AWS.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Migrating legacy services to AWS using Lambda , S3 , and event-driven frameworks.
Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaaS) using Terraform or similar tools.
Optimizing CI/CD pipelines and ensuring high availability of cloud-native systems.
Key Responsibilities: Cloud Migration: Refactor and rebuild services into modern AWS-native solutions.
Infrastructure Automation: Develop and manage infrastructure as code for seamless deployments.
Mentorship: Support junior engineers, fostering best practices in DevOps and cloud engineering.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Platform and CTO to contribute to strategic decisions and OKR delivery.
Hands-on Engineering: Actively engage in development tasks, ensuring quality and scalability.
What We're Looking For: AWS Expertise: Strong background in AWS services and cloud-native architecture.
IaaS Knowledge: Hands-on experience with tools like Terraform , CloudFormation , or equivalent.
DevOps Best Practices: Proficient in CI/CD, monitoring, and automation practices.
Growth Mindset: Enthusiasm for developing leadership skills and mentoring others.
Refactoring Skills: Ability to refactor legacy codebases into scalable, cloud-native solutions.
