Lead Design Engineer (12 month FTC) - Warrington Lead Design Engineer What is the key purpose of this role?
Job Purpose Responsible for leading the delivery of engineering design tasks or projects to meet agreed time, cost, and quality objectives.
This includes the line management of design engineers and third-party suppliers.
To lead the delivery of Radioactive Material (RAM) transport engineering activities and projects and provide technical advice to NTS and Clients.
What do I need to excel in this role?
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed The role requires an experienced professional design engineer with sufficient knowledge and experience to define and lead an engineering activity or small project Typical qualifications, experience and skills required are: Relevant degree in engineering (ideally mechanical), or equivalent academic qualifications and experience.
Recognised professional engineering qualification.
Demonstrable experience/knowledge/understanding of engineering design and substantiation as applied to RAM transport.
Ability to define scopes of work, including development of technical risk identification and mitigation strategies.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with other areas of NTS and or the Client to ensure solutions meet the stated intent.
