Based at our Catford offices, you will be working as part of a team, leading on the new Bed Capacity Management Information Program and other Transformation projects.
The role requires an individual with strong technical and analytical skills but there will alsobe the opportunity for growth and development.
Main duties of the job The primary focus for this role is in supporting the Capacity (bed) Management System (as part of patient flow improvement projects), working with a range of key stakeholders to define data, analytical and reporting requirements and working with key teams such as the Data Warehouse to facilitate access to required data.
The post holder will also be responsible for leading on the BI team partnership with our data extraction partners (Accenture) in relation to the Virtex(835) environment.
This will particularly focus on the transforms (data marts), liaising and managing with our service provider to raise queries, test and approve fixes where required, and ensure implementation into the live environment is as expected.

ensuring that they meet required standards for quality and accuracy and that they are submitted in accordance with relevant deadlines.
The post holder will be expected to manage the creation, quality assurance and submission of the Community Services Data Set (CSDS), to identify and manage risks, and ensure the Trust is compliant with national data submission standards.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the implementation and on-going oversight of the Community Faster Data Flows submission, in partnership with the Data Warehouse team.
The post holder will be the subject matter expert for community services data, and work collaboratively across the Performance & BI team and wider organisation in ensuring community service data, information and analytic requirements are met.
The post holder will be required to liaise with Managers at all levels to succinctly articulate and manage reporting requirements and have the knowledge and technical expertise to handle complex computer-based data relationships.

Firstly, as part of the ongoing provision of routine reports and discussions relating to the specifications of ad-hoc requests and the interpretation of the data provided.
Secondly as part of informing and guiding them on data collection within their areas.
Regular contact with Information and IT staff from client organisations as part of the regular reporting cycle.
Satisfaction of ad-hoc queries from these organisations.
Contact with relevant external organisations NHSE as part of dealing with statutory reporting and ad-hoc enquiries from these sources.
Contact with clinical staff as part of dealing with statutory reporting and ad-hoc enquiries from these sources.
The post-holder will need to have and be able to demonstrate very good communication skills.
The post-holder will possess good negotiation skills and tact in dealing with complex information.
To have involvement and a good understanding of a range of clinical system / Data Warehouse processes, including fault clearance (necessary for the production of required reports) and the distribution of these reports in a timely manner.
Contribute to the set-up and maintenance for selected clinical systems and database tables and routines to ensure the ongoing efficient running of the systems and processes.
Application of the combination of Health Service knowledge and computer enquiry skills to successfully support the routine and ad-hoc requests of Trust Managers by translation of requests into the programs necessary to extract this data.
Validation of output for accuracy, presentation of data in an acceptable style and interpretation where necessary.
To translate national standards to the local arena and advise managers on data collection methods.
Initiates processes and procedures to improve the quality of information captured and analysed on the Trusts patient-based systems.
Advises staff and departments across the Trust on the correct recording of information in response to recurrent data quality issues.
To provide training, guidance and support to colleagues across the organisation.
Responsibility to document all processes and procedures relating to own work.
To develop and maintain standard reports used for monitoring relevant Key Performance Indicators.
Regularly meet with staff and managers of the departments involved to monitor performance against agreed targets / standards.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to Masters level or equivalent and relevant experience Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
Desirable IT / Information related qualification Statistics and/or data science related qualification Professional Analytics accreditation.
Experience Essential Significant NHS Acute Trust experience in an analytical / business intelligence role Experience of using a Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, preferably Cerner.
Experience of working with clinical and non-clinical staff to develop effective reporting and actionable insights.
Experience of using a variety of data tables and sources to develop solutions to reporting & analytical needs.
Experience of problem-solving, utilising available technologies to ensure solutions are as automated as possible, promote self-service and mitigate against data quality risks.
