The Role DAS is hiring for an experienced Lead Consultant with a background in cost analysis and government approvals to lead our project delivery team with a key defence client.
The Lead Consultant will: Contribute to the development of the economic and financial cases for 5-case business models, providing evidence and analysis to support these cases.
Operate from the South, with your primary base being Basingstoke.
Work closely with and effectively influence senior stakeholders to align on strategic objectives and secure their support.
Lead the delivery of consultancy projects and manage a DAS team.
Build and nurture strong internal and external relationships to enhance collaboration and drive success.
Manage client relationships, and actively seek out new business opportunities for growth.

Requirements Applicants will have a proven track record in the defence domain and will be looking to use their skills on a wide range of projects and business growth.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following: Proven experience in developing concepts of analysis to establish robust cost estimation processes during the early stages of business case development.
Experience in delivering cost estimates that inform and support program decision-making.
Knowledge of government approval processes, with the ability to navigate and support formal approvals.
Proven experience engaging with approval scrutiny bodies and communities, ensuring alignment and compliance.
Understanding of government guidelines, including HMT Green Book and Aqua Book, with the ability to apply these principles in practice.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing to a cohesive and productive work environment.
Must hold a valid DV (Developed Vetting) clearance.
