Purpose of the Position: This position involves performing feasibility and impact assessments, reviewing documentation to ensure conformity to methods, designs, and standards, and achieving economies of scale during the support phase. As a senior Business Analyst you will also be responsible for stakeholder communication, conducting primary and secondary research based on solution and project needs, supporting new solution design and other organizational initiatives, and collaborating with all stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary team environment to build consensus on various data and analytics projects. Key Result Areas and Activities: Collaboration: Great communicator collaborating between Business Stakeholders and Technology teams. Collaborate with stakeholders (business product owners and end users) to understand data and analytics requirements. Collaborate with development and engineering teams on the delivery of data products. Coordinate with Testing team and manage testing cycles, including user acceptance testing. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts. Adept at managing requirements, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and overseeing program initiatives Requirement Analysis: Data Literacy with Data and Analytics fluency is a mandate Analyse and Understanding data and process flows Analyse and triage business requirements to determine scope and data sources. Design and implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analysing data requirements. Perform feasibility analysis, scope projects, and work with the project management team to prioritize deliverables. Generate monthly performance reports and use them to identify areas needing improvement. Present and explain findings to executive leadership. Conduct retrospective of processes and observations and drive the improvement journey. Documentation: Create business and functional requirement documents (FSD, BRD, etc.) detailing the metrics and KPIs needed by the business. Experience creating and managing documentation in Confluence or equivalent Experience creating and reviewing the project development and testing reports, risk acceptance document, production runbooks, stakeholder update documents, etc. Agile Management: Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira) Create and manage Epics and User stories, including acceptance criteria in JIRA. Understand the purpose of Sprints, Resorptive, Scrum meetings, etc. Essential Skills: User Requirements and Data Mapping: Ability to understand user requirements, build business matrices, and create source-to-target mappings for automated data feeds and visualizations. Conduct detailed business analysis, evaluate and improve business processes, and develop new strategies. Project Planning and Estimations: Contribute to estimations and project plans for data engineering and analytics teams. Data Analytics and Visualization: Understand data analytics processes and lifecycle, and proficient in data visualization tools like Power BI (Power Platform). SQL and Agile Methodology: Skilled in writing SQL for data analysis and experienced in Agile methodology. Tools: Power BI, Snowflake, Oracle DB, SQL, Microsoft office suite Business Requirements and Custom Processes: Convert business requirements into implementation-ready epics and user stories, and design custom processes and systems for data analytics, including creating frameworks, standards, and procedures. Preferred Skills: Data Modelling skills (RDBMS concepts, Normalisation, dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schema etc) Hands on knowledge with data querying, data analysis, data mining, reporting and analytics will be a plus Qualifications: 12+ years of experience as Business Analyst with understanding of the commercial finance data Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (Master's degree is a plus) Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods Qualities: Self-motivated and focused on delivering outcomes for a fast-growing team and firm Able to communicate persuasively through speaking, writing, and client presentations Able to consult, write, and present persuasively Able to work in a self-organized and cross-functional team Able to iterate based on new information, peer reviews, and feedback Able to work with teams and clients in different time zones Research focused mindset Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
