Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building and evolving our AWS cloud infrastructure and ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services, automation tools, and DevOps practices.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys problem-solving, and has a collaborative mindset.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWSDevelop and implement automated tools and processes for building, deployment, monitoring, testing and maintenance of infrastructure and applicationsDevelop and maintain policies and procedures for security, compliance, and disaster recoveryOptimise infrastructure for high availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiencyContinuously monitor and improve infrastructure and application performanceTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issuesManage and mentor junior DevOps engineers Skills, Knowledge and Expertise5+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and managementProficient programming skills in at least one language, preferably Python or GoExtensive experience of deploying cloud platforms at scale using AWS Organisations / Control Tower / Landing ZonesExpert level experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Ansible, CloudFormation or TerraformExtensive background in Configuration Management and AutomationStrong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administrationExpert level experience in AWS Networking / TCP / Firewalls / CertsAdvance proficiency with containers and container orchestration tools such as Docker and KubernetesObservability champion, experience of designing and building monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, and GrafanaStrong scripting skills in Bash, JavaScript or similarKnowledge of SecDevOps security best practices and experience implementing security controls in a cloud environment including SIEM, Guard Duty, Shield, Inspector and Security HubExperience with CI/CD pipeline development and managementBest practice configuration of Identity and Access Management and IAM Identity Center Preferred QualificationsAWS Speciality, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Professional CertificationExperience with CDK and TypescriptExperience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCPExperience with serverless architecture, frameworks and services such as SAM, Lambda and API Gateway Key SkillsProblem-solving skills: The ability to analyse problems and come up with effective solutions is a key requirementFlexibility and adaptability: Need to be able to adapt to new tools and approaches quickly and be open to change.Attention to detail: Must be detail-oriented and methodical.
They will need to pay close attention to every aspect of the deployment process to ensure that everything is working as intended.Collaborative mindset: Must be able to work well with others and to communicate effectively with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that everyone is on the same page.Curiosity and eagerness to learn: Must have a curious mind and be eager to learn.
