Land or Utility Surveyors 3D Technical Design Ltd (3DTD)  is seeking a forward-thinking and self-motivated Land or Utility Surveyor to join our innovative District Heating Design team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of District Heating Networks, playing a crucial part in our mission to contribute towards carbon-neutral net-zero targets.
About the Role: You will work remotely in a full-time, permanent position using your surveying capabilities but also contributing to network design using AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
While experience in District Heating is not specifically required, advanced 2D CAD skills are essential.
Knowledge of 3D CAD and report-writing abilities are advantageous.
You will receive comprehensive training, including a 3-day induction and a 6-month District Heating development program, to help you excel in delivering market-leading designs and reports for our clients.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the design and feasibility team to produce utility tracing in CAD.
Obtain and overlay utility and historical OS maps within current OS environments.
Insert and update engineering annotations and attributes within drawings.
Implement layering systems with AutoCAD and manage data received files.
Independently travel to site visits across the UK, representing 3DTD professionally.
High definition scanning Produce feasibility studies and reports.
Role Requirements: Preferably based in Central England for optimal site visit travel.
Minimum 3 years' experience in land or underground utility surveying.
Advanced 2D CAD skills and construction CAD experience.
Report writing experience or ability to grow in this area Experience with Point Cloud data is beneficial.
UK driving licence.
Development Opportunities: Progress to CAD Designer level, incorporating more complex CAD functions.
Produce heat network feasibility route drawings, 2D GA district heating pipe route drawings and more.
Engage in 3D modelling utilities and pipe routes in accordance with BIM II.
What We Offer: Anticipated start date in January or February 2025 depending on Candidate availability Remote working with a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 Fully mentored role with ongoing training and development opportunities.
