The Role You will join the council's planning team, to deliver a high-quality service and detailed knowledge of all tasks and operations relating to the functioning of the Local Land Charges service.
Main Responsibilities Responsible for the Local Land Charges register, ensuring the data is accurate, the correct legislation is applied (Local Land Charges Act 1975) and up to date, this is crucial to the house buying process Advising and supporting with in-depth knowledge as part of the naming and numbering of major developments, or renaming and renumbering of single units or land Responding to all local land charges searches, personal searches and enquiries from solicitors and agents in an accurate manner and in accordance with the agreed performance levels To be responsible for the accurate creation and maintenance to the local land charges register on a daily basis.
Ensuring all registrations from internal and external stakeholders are recorded to a high standard To be responsible for accurately maintaining Local Land Charges databases including Planning Obligations.
Providing as required additional records and regular updates to a variety of services including internal and external stakeholders To undertake site inspections as necessary, to monitor and identify the location of new and altered property as well as identify land parcels, liaising with other services in compiling definitive information concerning new dwelling completions The experience you will bring Extensive knowledge of working in a local authority local land charges team and or extensive experience working in a Local Land and Property Gazetteer team or other similar environment.
Extensive experience working in an Information Management/GIS environment Experience of inputting and extracting data from computerised systems, including correcting and reconciling information Implementation of the Gazetteer and data capture/cleansing project work and evidence of delivering tasks on time compliant to BS7666 Standard
