About the Role: As the Laboratory Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the creation and development of cosmetic formulations.
You will manage a team of development chemists and technicians, ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and innovation.
From developing new products to overseeing regulatory requirements, your work will contribute directly to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of development chemists.
Develop innovative formulations for personal care products.
Ensure compliance with EU Cosmetics Directive and other regulatory standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and customer teams.
Maintain lab systems, health and safety standards, and inventory.
Oversee stability, claims testing, and CPSR documentation.
What We're Looking For: Educational Background: Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
Experience: At least 5+ years in formulation, particularly in haircare and skincare.
Leadership: Proven experience managing a team and implementing systems to achieve KPIs.
Skills: Strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and confidence in working with diverse teams.
Knowledge: Familiarity with EU Cosmetics Directive, CLP regulations, and PIF compilation.
Preferred Qualifications: SCS Diploma.
Experience with Soil Association, COSMOS, Vegan, and Cruelty-Free accreditations.
