The successful candidate will be an empathetic coach and a motivator who cares about their team provides everyone with a voice and values their input.
Key responsibilities: Setting up and managing laboratory operations, staff, customer support and consultants.
Purchasing and managing stock and consumables.
Ensuring compliance with lab systems and quality systems.
Managing the production costs and budget.
Driving continuous improvement.
Scale operations over time to cope with high-scale demand.
To be considered for the role, you must closely match the following requirements: Degree in biomedical sciences.
Leadership experience in a laboratory setting.
Ideally previous work or experience with histopathology.
Efficiency and ability to handle a high volume of tasks.
Fluency in English and full rights to work in the UK.
Team player, open communicator and collaborative individual.
A commercial awareness is vital as there will be a customer-facing element to the position.
