SRG are excited to be partnered with a global organisation who are at the forefront of health and environmental research to help them find an Analyst to join their busy lab team.
We are looking for someone with a background in mineralogy and testing of soil and/or asbestos and has used techniques like gravimetric analysis, FTIR and XRD among others.

The Role:
Carrying out analysis of soil and mineral samples Asbestos testing- training can be provided Reporting analytical results and cross checks as required and in line with lab operating procedures Completing routine laboratory support functions as part of the wider team including general housekeeping, apparatus cleaning and maintenance Troubleshooting and problem solving where required Method validation Following the company quality system requirements including compliance with ISO 17025 (UKAS Accredited) Checking and authorising reports written by Laboratory Analysts Requirements:
Relevant scientific degree or equivalent hands on experience in a similar field Experience of testing such as FTIR, XRD, gravimetric analysis and asbestos testing Background in mineralogy Excellent organisational and communication skills Experience of working efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment Experience of a range of ICT including Microsoft Office and databases Punctual, reliable and aims for high standards in their work Works well as part of a small team Company benefits:
