Job Title: KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Wivenhoe Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Description: Job Duties: Provide tailored educational support to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outreach setting Develop individualised learning plans to address the specific needs of each student Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to facilitate academic progress and personal development Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and areas for improvement Required Qualifications: Recognised teaching qualification Experience working with students with SEN Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field Proven experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEN Understanding of SEN strategies and best practises Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Special Education or related field Experience in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Working Conditions: Part-Time hours, flexible schedule Work primarily in an outreach setting, visiting students in their homes or community locations Collaborative work with teachers, parents, and support staff All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
