Job Title: KS3 SEMH Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Danbury Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: Provide tailored tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Develop and deliver engaging lessons to support academic progress and emotional well-being Assess students' learning needs and create individualised learning plans Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure holistic support for students Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with students with SEMH needs Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 curriculum Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEMH students Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of SEMH strategies and interventions Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Strong behaviour management skills Proficient in assessment and progress tracking Preferred Qualifications: Additional training in Special Education Needs (SEN) Experience in working with vulnerable or at-risk youth Working Conditions: This role involves working in a home environment, interacting with students, school staff, and parents.
The work hours are full-time, with flexibility required to meet student needs.
Some travel may be necessary to attend meetings or training sessions.
