We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a school in Batley from January 2025 to July 2025.
This is a full-time role, offering an excellent opportunity to support students in Key Stage 1 while working closely with experienced teachers.
Roles and Responsibilities: Provide support in the classroom for students in Key Stage 1, helping with both academic tasks and social development.Assist in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring that activities are engaging and appropriate for each student's learning level.Provide one-on-one and small group support to help students understand key concepts and develop foundational skills.Encourage positive behaviour, supporting students in their emotional and social growth.Help prepare learning resources, set up activities, and assist during classroom transitions.Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to the teacher and other staff members.Support students during break times and other activities to ensure their well-being. Requirements: Experience working with primary-age children, ideally in a KS1 setting.Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards working with young learners.Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.A DBS check is required (or willingness to complete one).A flexible approach to working alongside the teaching team.
