Location: Primary Schools across Selby Position: Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant Contract Type: Supply About the Role We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistants to join our pool of supply staff, supporting primary schools across Selby.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a variety of educational settings, assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences for young students.
As a supply Teaching Assistant, you will be called upon to cover absences and provide extra support as required.
Key Responsibilities Assist in delivering planned lessons and activities to engage children in their learning.
Support small groups and individual students to help them meet their learning goals.
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Work closely with class teachers to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
Provide additional support to children with special educational needs, where necessary.
Requirements Experience working with young children in an educational setting, ideally within Key Stage 1.
A positive, flexible attitude and a passion for helping children learn.
Ability to adapt to different school environments and work effectively with various teaching staff.
An understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to the well-being of all children.
Relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
