This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced teacher to make a real impact on our school community.You will be class based and have regular release time for your leadership responsibilities.You will work closely with the Headteacher and SLT to determine the strategic direction of the school, leading on developing excellent teaching practice and driving standards and outcomes for our children.
The successful candidate will: •Have a positive attitude and love of teaching and learning•Take responsibility for KS1 within the school and teach a Year 2 class•Be an exceptional teacher with the ability to motivate, inspire and challenge young children•Be passionate about making learning fun and accessible for all•Have high expectations of themselves and the children in their care•Demonstrate outstanding ability in the classroom•Build excellent relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues and show a commitment to working in partnership with the whole school community•Have vision, limitless enthusiasm and a desire to inspire our children•Have a detailed understanding of how young children learn effectively, meeting the needs of all pupils and ensuring that they are able to reach their learning potential•Have excellent interpersonal skills showing an ability to work closely and professionally with colleagues as part of a team•Have an excellent knowledge of teaching across the EYFS and KS1 curriculum including early reading, phonics and maths•Have a proven track record and experience of leading initiatives which bring about improved outcomes for children•Actively support the Headteacher and SLT in their commitment to sustained school improvement•Have high ambition for the achievement of every child in the school through inclusive methods and approaches•Be organised and motivated•Be able to accurately review pupil progress and hold others to account•Have a commitment to continuing CPD The successful candidate will be required from January 2025 - July 2025 with the possibility of extending for a further term to December 2025, the contract will be temporary to provide maternity cover.
