Industrial Water Tank Install/Maintenance Technician £25,000 - £32,000 (DOE & Qualifications) HQ & Start Address - Wigan Jobs will be working in teams UK wide This role is Monday to Friday and will involve working away with some over night stays UK wide Job Summary The Industrial Water Tank Installer is responsible for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of large industrial water tanks used for storage and processing in various industries, such as construction and water treatment plants.
This role involves reading working with heavy equipment, and ensuring all installations meet safety and industry standards.
The installer must work collaboratively with other team members, including project managers, engineers, and safety inspectors, to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality installations.
Key Responsibilities: Installation of Water Tanks: Assemble and install industrial water tanks on-site, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and support Work with various materials, including steel, concrete, and polyethylene, as required by the tank design Install all necessary plumbing, valves, and connectors as per design specifications.
Specification Interpretation: Review technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
Follow layout designs and measurements to properly position and secure tanks.
Equipment Operation and Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Conduct pre-installation site assessments to identify and mitigate any potential hazards.
Quality Control and Maintenance: Inspect installations to verify they meet quality standards and specifications.
Perform tests on water tanks and related equipment to ensure leak-proof and pressure-safe installations.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on tanks as needed, including seal replacement and corrosion control Qualifications: Experience : 2+ years of experience in construction, plumbing, or industrial installation, preferably with experience in tank installation or similar work Education : Equivalent technical or vocational training in plumbing, or construction is an advantage Certifications : CSCS as a minimum Ideally H&S certificates or SSSTS Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings Familiarity with heavy machinery and construction tools Knowledge of plumbing, sealing, and industrial installation techniques #INDENG JBRP1_UKTJ
