As a vital member of our culinary team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, and leading a talented group of kitchen staff.Prepare, cook, and present dishes that meet our exacting specifications and exceed customer expectationsMaintain exemplary hygiene levels and adhere to safety regulations to ensure the well-being of your team and our guestsStep in for the management team when required, resolving any issues that may arise in their absenceOrganise and coordinate the kitchen team during busy service periods, ensuring efficient and seamless operationsMentor and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environmentAssist in menu planning and development, bringing innovative ideas to the tableMonitor and maintain stock levels, placing orders as necessaryCollaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service and timely food deliveryConduct regular quality checks on dishes before they leave the kitchenParticipate in ongoing training and development initiatives to stay current with industry trends and best practicesQualificationsProven experience in a similar kitchen leadership roleComprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulationsExcellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality, well-presented dishesStrong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire a teamExceptional organisational and time management skillsAbility to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environmentExcellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing situationsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenDedication to maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentationFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysFood hygiene certification (e.g., Level 3 Food Hygiene and Safety for Supervisors)NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent qualification (desirable)First Aid certification (desirable)
