Job Description Baxterstorey is seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our team in Huntingdon, United Kingdom.
As a vital member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organised, and smooth-running kitchen environment.
Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain high standards of hygiene Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, ensuring all kitchenware is properly cleaned and stored Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff Organise and store incoming deliveries in appropriate storage areas Dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations Support the kitchen team by performing various tasks to ensure efficient service delivery Maintain a tidy and well-organised kitchen, including floors, walls, and storage areas Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards as per company policies and legal requirements Qualifications Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when required Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks Team-oriented mindset with a supportive attitude towards colleagues Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning chemicals Basic understanding of food hygiene practices Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential Food hygiene certificate is desirable Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends Additional Information For almost 20 years, for every client, in every location (whether that's an office, stadium, cathedral or university), we have created beautiful spaces, exciting menus and friendly teams, so that each and every customer can have the hospitality experience they deserve.
