About the position:
We pride ourselves on the family feel and atmosphere we have created within the home and are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed cook to join our friendly and supportive team.
You will strive for the highest standard of catering and will be passionate about providing nutritious, varied and person centred meals that meet the dietary requirements of our service users.
Whilst no two shifts are the same, here is a brief overview of what your typical duties may look like:
Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standard as set out on the menus Ensure effective budgeting and stock rotation Support tea time menu for the evening care staff Maintain food diary ensuring records are kept up to date; recording fridge / freezer temperatures, goods in and cooked items Maintain record of pupils' daily dietary requirements Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the cleaning schedule is adhered to
About You
What you will need:
A respectful, courteous and compassionate nature, striving for continuous improvement Relevant experience within a pressurised and busy environment Experience of producing food for individuals with strict dietary requirements Relevant catering qualifications and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team
