Kirklees Council | Educational Teaching Assistant - Lowerhouses Ce Ji & Ey School

We are advertising for a fixed term Educational Teaching Assistant, to join us as soon as possible.
This job is for 30 hours per week, supporting a child in Key Stage 1 with an EHCP.
This appointment is not expected to go beyond 31/8/2025.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated person with a commitment to helping children reach their full potential.
The successful candidate must have a firm but fair approach to working with children and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience of working with children with SEND is essential as is working in a school environment.
It is important that they have the ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with the children, staff and parents.

Under the September 2022 amendments to Keeping Children Safe in Education, we will be undertaking an 'online search' for shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence, this is to help identify incidents or issues of interest that are publicly available online.
An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this job.
