The children, staff and Governors wish to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced 1:1 SEND Educational Support Assistant into our school community to play a key role supporting the needs of a specific pupil in Year 1.

Our successful candidate will: Be an outstanding role model to children, demonstrating our school values Have high expectations for children and their learning and be passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential Be flexible, kind and caring Demonstrate excellent communication skills Be committed to being part of a small, family team; demonstrating adaptability where needed Have experience of working with pupils within the EYFS or implementing an Early Years play-based curriculum Have experience in supporting children with additional needs, particularly those with complex social communication and interaction needs and sensory difficulties
Experience of the following statements would be desirable, although relevant training will be provided:
Have experience with Use of a Total Communication Approach to enable pupils to communicate their needs and preferences effectively, when verbal communication is challenging.
For example; objects of reference/talking mats.
Have some experience of implementing an intensive interaction approach to support the development of social communication skills in pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism or complex learning difficulties.
