About the role Our Control System Engineers are responsible for the project requirement review, development, testing, installation and commissioning of software to achieve automation project objectives.
The size and scale of the projects can vary from a simple change to accommodate new plant instrumentation to large new plant software design and development.
There is opportunity to work on a variety of customer manufacturing sites, using a range of software technologies.
Working within a team there is a support network as well as broad training available to allow you to achieve your professional development goals, while putting learning into practice.
Main Responsibilities Reviewing customer requirements, Production and maintenance of requirements, design, test and user documentation.
Control System Software development (PLC/DCS, HMI and SCADA) Customer site-based installation and commissioning, Participating in our on-call team rota providing 24/7, 361days cover Liaising with the Project Manager to deliver high-quality, structured software within agreed timeframes.
The Person experience in a similar role using at least one of the following technologies: - PLC (primarily Siemens, Rockwell and Schneider) - SCADA (primarily Siemens, Rockwell, Wonderware/AVEVA and GE) - DCS (primarily Siemens) Ideally Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an Engineering related subject Be a dynamic and proactive team player who strives to deliver high-quality work at the highest level of customer service.
