Our client is expanding rapidly and needs an experienced Account Manager who can bring expertise in managing high-value, high-volume customer accounts.
Role Overview: As a Field-Based Key Account Manager , you will take full ownership of a portfolio of key customer accounts in the Utilities sector .
This client-facing, field-based role will see you lead onsite meetings, develop strong client relationships, and drive the long-term success and growth of key accounts.
You will manage large-volume, high-value accounts, ensuring that customer needs are met while also identifying opportunities to expand and enhance service offerings.
Key Responsibilities: Account Management: Manage a portfolio of strategic, high-value customer accounts, ensuring that all service delivery meets or exceeds client expectations.
Customer Relationship Building: Lead regular, onsite customer meetings, building lasting relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders across customer organizations.
Customer-Centric Solutions: Develop and present tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of each client, proactively identifying opportunities to add value and enhance service delivery.
Revenue Growth: Drive revenue and profitability growth within your accounts by identifying upselling, cross-selling, and contract extension opportunities.
Strategic Account Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute account plans that ensure the success and satisfaction of key clients.
Problem Resolution: Take a proactive approach to resolving client issues and concerns, acting as a key point of contact for any escalations.
Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on account performance, providing regular updates to senior management on progress toward KPIs and sales targets.
Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends and customer needs, leveraging insights to improve service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
Key Requirements: Proven Experience: Experience in managing high-value, high-volume customer accounts, ideally in a field-based Key Account Management or Sales role.
Customer-Facing Expertise: Strong experience leading onsite customer meetings and building lasting relationships with senior decision-makers.
Account Growth: A track record of successfully managing and growing large accounts, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Solution-Oriented: Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to tailor solutions to meet customer requirements.
Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a field-based role while being part of a collaborative team environment.
Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Industry Knowledge (Not Essential): Previous experience in the Utilities sector is beneficial but not essential.
Our client is open to candidates from diverse industries, so experience managing key accounts in other sectors will be highly valued.
Full Driving License: A full, clean UK driving license (or relevant regional requirements) is essential for this role.
