Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager with a passion for the pet health industry to manage and grow relationships with our top clients in the Vet/Pet wholesale & retail channels.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic insight and hands-on management experience to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, drive business growth, and foster long-lasting partnerships.
As a Key Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in understanding client needs, identifying new opportunities, and delivering customized solutions to help our clients thrive in the pet health space.
Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture trusted relationships with key clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their business objectives, challenges, and needs within the pet health sector.
Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute tailored account plans for each key client, setting short- and long-term goals that align with client objectives and business growth targets.
Sales & Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, increasing product listings and collaborating with clients on solutions that meet their evolving needs in pet health, wellness, and veterinary products.
Market & Product Expertise: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging pet health solutions to provide valuable insights and guidance to clients, positioning our company as a thought leader.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, customer support, and logistics, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of client requirements.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to track account performance, measure client satisfaction, and forecast revenue, while using insights to make informed, strategic decisions.
Issue Resolution: Act as a primary point of contact for client concerns, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Reporting & Presentations: Regularly provide detailed reports and presentations to clients, showcasing value delivered, performance metrics, and potential growth opportunities.
Qualifications: Experience: 4 years of experience in key account management, sales, or client success, preferably in the pet health, veterinary, animal nutrition, or broader healthcare industry.
Education: Advantageous but not essential, a degree in business, marketing, animal health sciences, or a related field, though experience in a similar role will be viewed equally.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the pet health industry, including knowledge of Vet/Pet Wholesale channels, veterinary practices, pet stores, or pet pharmaceuticals would be an advantage.
Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Ability to manage & prioritise workload Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clients.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other account management tools.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Strategic thinker with an eye for detail and the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
Other Requirements: Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
