Key Account Development Manager – Independent Trade Foodservice (UK) - Multiple opportunities Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland.
The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.
With the most modern dairy manufacturing facilities in 8 locations on a cross-border basis, the Group supplies to a broad customer base including some of the world's foremost 'blue chip' companies across the dairy food ingredients, foodservice and consumer food channels on a domestic Ireland, UK, European and global basis.

The Group's Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.
Due to several internal promotions, we are delighted to welcome applications for the position of Key Account Manager in the following UK regions: Northwest - North Wales, Liverpool, Greater Manchester, Sheffield, & Isle of Man.
Midlands – Sheffield, Nottingham, Brimingham, Lincoln & Scunthorpe; London & Southeast England – Central London, Salisbury, Basingstoke, Canterbury, Portsmouth; Southwest - Plymouth, South Wales, Bristol, Bath & Oxford.
The Role(s) The successful applicants will be responsible for retaining, maintaining and growing existing business as well as identifying and securing new business (distributors and key end users) within their designated region.
Travelling across each territory will be an essential part of our Key Account Managers responsibility where on average, you will spend 4 days a week in front of your customers, further strengthening key relationships and delivering on customer needs.
Depending on customer requirements or your business plan the successful applicants may have up to 2 overnight stays per week.
This role is home based with the expectation of regular travel as above and off territory including the wider United Kingdom (e.g., Bromley Office as required) and Northern Ireland / Ireland.
The Person The role requires a candidate to have relevant experience in food related sales, with an understanding of wholesale development, both systems and operations and will have attained GCSE level Maths and English (Grade C or above) (or equivalent).
Whilst not essential, an HNC/HND level (or equivalent) qualification in food manufacturing, sales and marketing, hospitality or similar would be advantageous.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate a well-developed ability to identify new business opportunities and turn them into commercial success.
A highly organised self-starter who can work with minimum supervision, the successful candidate will be results focused with an understanding of budget control, excellent communication skills to include presentation, negotiation and a high proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
Travelling will be an essential part of the role and therefore the candidate must hold a valid full driving license.
On average, there would be an expectation to work away at least 2 nights every week (depending on location).
The role is home based with the expectation of regular travel within the UK and Ireland, including to the Bromley Office as required.
