Job Title: Shunter Driver
Location: Nuneaton
Hours: 4040 Days
Annual Salary: £37,500
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shunter Driver to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for safely moving trailers around the yard, preparing them for MOT testing, and maintaining and repairing Heavy Goods trailers to high-quality standards.
This includes working on our rental fleet as well as customer-owned trailers at our workshops.
Key Responsibilities of the Shunter Driver:
Prepare trailers for MOT testing and assist with voluntary brake testing.
Perform yard and workshop shunting, along with small trailer repairs.
Liaise with DVSA personnel and third parties during MOT testing.
Operate forklifts (license desirable) and ensure compliance with road traffic laws and company policies.
Shunter Driver Qualifications & Skills
Forklift license (preferred but not required).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Basic computer literacy for documentation.
The successful Shunter Driver will receive:
