Sonomatic are hiring for a Junior Workshop Assembly Technician to join the team in Warrington.
The position will suit a meticulous time served (level 3 qualified) individual looking to further their career in mechanical maintenance.
Ideally the right candidate will also have some experience of working with electronic and electrical components along with experience of using hand tools or workshop tools such as lathes and mills.

Projects typically range from bespoke ROV/Diver deployed automated inspections, to topside remotely operated inspections.

Sonomatic can provide you with an opportunity to get hands on with: Assembly and testing of intricate mechanisms Inhouse manufacture, including turning, milling, additive manufacturing (3D Printing), finishing Quality assurance and checking manufactured components against specifications, both mechanical and electrical Maintenance of workshop machinery/equipment.
Ordering, packing, shipping, delivery, and collection of parts/equipment Fault finding, repair and re-commissioning of equipment.
Engineering administration e.g.
risk assessments & purchasing.
Other tasks may involve: Carrying out work designated by Project Leads or Managers Comply with all company policies and procedures e.g., health and safety, training & development, quality, disciplinary & grievance, and timekeeping & attendance etc.
To carry out any other tasks to meet the needs of the business.
Skills & Experience: Level 3 Qualified in an Engineering discipline i.e.
Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance.
Some experience working with electrical/electronic components desirable but not required.
Able to read engineering drawings.
Bench fitting i.e.
drilling, tapping & filing.
Computer literate: Microsoft Suit, Willing to learn cloud-based work management platform.
Organised and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
