Main duties of the job Toactively promote the development of evidence based practice.
To maintain a high profile within the specialty havingdirect clinicalinvolvement.To develop and encourage innovation in nursing practicewithin thespecialty.
To identify "best practice" from availableliterature and disseminate throughout the Unit.
Highlight areas for change as a result of research oraudit and in conjunction with Ward Manager/Sister act as a change agent.
To assist in the implementation of mentorship,preceptorship and clinical supervision.
Carry out all nursing procedures according toWorcestershire AcuteHospitals NHS Trust.

Person Specification Experience Essential Recent acute cardiac experience.
Ability to manage own workload and delegate appropriately.
Desirable ITU/HDU experience.
Acute General Medicine.
Experience within cardiac catheterisation.
Qualifications Essential First Level Registration Evidence of professional Development.
Evidence of management experience/ training.
Team Leadership.
Cardiac Practice/ Critical Care pathway or equivalent Mentorship for assessment or equivalent Desirable Previous experience within a band 6.
