Junior Product Developer J Adams & Co. – London J Adams & Co.
Lighting is seeking a Junior Product Developer to join its team based at its London Clerkenwell studio.
We are a fast-growing luxury lighting manufacturer, producing all of our products in-house – from machining and laser cutting of components, to finishing, wiring and assembly at our Birmingham factory.
The successful candidate will become an integral part of our small London team, happy to assist across multiple departments and unafraid to "muck in" when needed.
They will need to liaise with the engineering team in Birmingham as an essential link between design and manufacture.
The role requires:
- Supporting the Design Director with the development of new lighting designs.
- Supporting the Sales and Marketing teams with spec drawings, page layouts and visuals of bespoke lights and when required.
- CAD Modelling and drafting of machined parts, components and assemblies in SolidWorks.
- Sourcing of materials and components, basic prototyping.
- Design and implementation of trade show stands, and showroom displays.
- Regular travel to Birmingham required to assist with production development and testing.
The ideal candidate has:
- A degree in product or furniture design
- A hunger to learn and progress
- An understanding of design for manufacture.
- A 'no job too small' attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Excellent software skills using SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, AutoCAD
- Lighting experience/electrical knowledge preferable but not essential.
- Fluent English essential
Hours: 9am – 5:30pm, Monday -Thursday / 9am – 4:30pm on Fridays
