Job Title: Junior Buyer Location: London Department: Buying Reports To: Senior Buyer Job Summary: Looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join a buying team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing and product selection, specifically within the lingerie, swimwear, or nightwear categories, with a preference for lingerie.
This role involves supporting the buying team in selecting and managing product assortments to meet customer needs and business goals.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the selection and procurement of products within the lingerie, swimwear, and nightwear categories.
Conduct market research and analyse trends to identify new product opportunities.
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.
Support the Senior Buyer in developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Analyse sales data and customer feedback to inform buying decisions.
Prepare reports and presentations on product performance and market trends.
Participate in product development meetings and provide input on product assortments.
Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: 1–2 years of experience in a buying or merchandising role, preferably in lingerie, swimwear, or nightwear.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Passion for fashion and a keen eye for trends.
Preferred Experience: Specific experience in lingerie is highly desirable.
Familiarity with retail buying processes and inventory management systems.
