Junior Buyer

Junior Buyer - Grocery Birmingham £28,000 + Excellent benefits Due to continued growth a leading UK Food retailer is looking for or a Junior Buyer to join the team based within their Midlands head office.
You will be responsible for delivering a commercially focused product range that meets both company and team targets, while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued growth within the categories.
Building & maintaining strong relationships with both large FMCG suppliers and smaller independent suppliers Sourcing suppliers & negotiating best cost prices.
Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines.
Review levels of own brand stock & ensure adequate levels are available and minimise risk Presenting reports, figures & trend information to the Senior Management team Dealing and resolving problems/queries relating to damaged or out of date product.
Analyse market trends and competitor activity Key requirements for the role.
Must have experience within a fast paced, retail environment preferably within a FMCG / Food retailer.
Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing FMCG market.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
Good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects.
