Junior Analyst Settlements Hybrid Up to £35k + Bonus Full-Time/Permanent Carrickfergus We are working a leading, international energy business to recruit their new Junior Settlements Analyst offering an excellent package and benefits and an exceptional opportunity to develop a career within the energy markets.
Working within a dedicated team you will be responsible for the timely nomination, confirmation, invoicing and settlement of a variety of products such as physical gas, carbon allowances and power.
The Role: Ensuring that all trades have been booked accurately and checked thoroughly in the Trading systems within established timelines and procedures Responsibility for maintaining excellent counterparty and broker relationships to manage the confirmations workflow to ensure in-bound broker and counterparty confirmations are checked and agreed on the day of receipt and any disputes swiftly resolved Liaising with internal teams to ensure a smooth settlement process Responding to queries from counterparties, traders and other stakeholders regarding settlement issues Working closely with Traders to support and initiate improvements to the Trading systems and workflow processes within Settlements, Finance and across Trading Ensuring all processes and procedures are constantly reviewed, documented, and updated to comply with relevant regulatory requirements Providing regulatory reporting and supporting the month end reporting and invoicing processes Staying updated on changes in settlement processes, regulations and industry trends The Person: Degree educated, ideally a related industry Experience in performing routine checking/review tasks with a high level of accuracy Strong Excel skills to include (e.g.
creating pivot tables, X Lookups, and Index match formulae) Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines Effective communication and interpersonal skills Commercially astute with the ability to problem solve quickly and effectively Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation To hear more about this role, please apply with a copy of your most recent CV.
