As the Joint Director, you will hold overarching responsibility for the strategic leadership and operational management of the estates and facilities across our two Trusts, ensuring our environments are safe, sustainable, and fit for the future.In this role, you will collaborate closely with our dynamic executive teams, senior clinical leaders, and external partners.
Your leadership will be instrumental in driving our commitment to sustainability, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering on our ambitious estates transformation agenda Main duties of the job The Joint Director of Estates and Facilities has overarching accountability and responsibility for the Estates, Facilities and Estates-related Capital Developments at both Trusts.
The postholder will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of an effective, long term estate strategy on each site, together with providing the professional leadership and operational management across their portfolio.The Joint Director of Estates and Facilities will be the most senior responsible person, ensuring suitable and sufficient governance arrangements are embedded into the departments, which provides assurance to the Chief Executive and Trust Boards About us Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT and Stockport NHS FT are two separate organisations working collaboratively with a number of Exec Directors working across both organisations.

The role carries significant responsibility for financial management and regulatory compliance The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trusts policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.
If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £ This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
Person Specification essential Essential Masters degree qualification in relevant business area.
Desirable Relevant Chartered professional qualification ( Chartered Surveyor or Chartered Engineer) and significant experience gained within the field.
essential Essential Successfully managing a large-scale complex environment and capital programme.
essential Essential Experience at either director/deputy director level in a complex public sector organisation.
