Java Software Engineer

The Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team and work on our enterprise-level retail systems for a leading technology business based in Hertford.
You'll contribute to a variety of projects, including mobile development (Java Swing), web applications (React) and SOAP/REST (Web Services), all using our client's unique process-based platform.
You'll work as part of highly successful team, utilising their unique set of design tools and apply your Java expertise to enhance software across the entire lifecycle.
Skills and Experience: Java Development: strong core skills in Java, JDBC, JSP, and MVC frameworks Database Experience: skilled in one or more of MariaDB/MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle Frontend Web Development: experience with React, Angular, or Vue Mobile App Development: experience with iOS and Android platforms Development Environment: proficiency with Eclipse and build tools such as Maven and Gradle Containerization: experience with Docker and Kubernetes Cloud Services: familiarity with AWS or Azure Version Control: competency in Git or Subversion Service-Oriented Architecture: proficient in SOA and Web Services Java Binding and Frameworks: familiarity with XML to Java binding (e.g., JAXB) and J2EE frameworks like JSF, Spring, or Struts J2EE Containers: working knowledge of Tomcat or similar Please call Edward Laing here at ISR Recruitment on 07436 071 872 to learn more about our client and how they are leading the way in developing the next-generation of technical solutions for their customers through innovation and transformational technology?
