The role holder has responsibility for the operational implementation of the Change Management process across all Open University Digital and IT services.
Skills and ExperienceEssential: Formal ITILv3/4 certification(s) - Example: ITIL Managing Professional (MP) level profileEvidence of sound practical experience of operational Change ManagementExcellent interpersonal, initiative, written, communication, negotiating, influencing, and team working skillsAn excellent customer service approachProven ability to provide management information and data on IT services and systemsExperience of introducing agile and automated change processes in more traditional environments and operating both togetherA knowledge of Risk ManagementResponsibilitiesEnsure all Changes are recorded, evaluated, authorised, prioritised, planned, tested, implemented, documented, and reviewed in a controlled mannerEnsure all Changes are assessed according to Risk and ImpactEngage with internal and external auditors/previous audits to ensure that Changes are being correctly recorded and managedLead the approval/authorisation of Changes in Change Advisory Board (CAB)Maintain a Forward Schedule of Change, and identify and manage scheduling conflictsDefine and approve classification of Changes and appropriate pathwaysDrive automation and ongoing refinement of the CAB process, ensuring that approvals, documentation, and communication are digital, streamlined, and efficientMonitor compliance to the Change Management ProcessLiaise with stakeholders and technical staffNegotiate Change windows with business unitsEnsure relevant KPIs are defined and reported correctly
