My client is an outstanding IT support firm who provide IT services, telecoms and document solutions to businesses focusing on building long term relationships with our customers and operating as your outsourced best practice IT in-house department.
They are now seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join their friendly team based in Southampton to support their base of small & medium-sized business clients.
The successful candidate will demonstrate drive & determination, and should have a proven track record of successfully addressing IT and Comms issues.
Position Overview – IT Support Technician Providing excellent customer service – building rapportMeeting established Service Level Agreements or turnaround timesIdentify, troubleshoot.
and document user issues & fixes Working with colleagues and occasionally with vendors to resolve customer problemsMaintaining accurate records including timesheetsKeeping abreast of emerging technologies and undertake ongoing trainingResolving day to day IT issuesOccasionally travelling on-site to resolve issues Position Requirements – IT Support Technician Full UK clean driving licenseMinimum 3 years service desk experienceTo hold a microsoft qualification / excellent knowledge of Microsoft software (Office 365)Active Directory knowledgeBasic networking knowledge (IP Addresses, DNHS, DHCP)Understanding remote access (VPN & two factor authentication)Understanding of desktop security and anti-virus solutionsGood understanding of software builds, and hardware / printers Excellent communication skills & ability to work on their own initiative Position Remuneration – IT Support Technician Monday to Friday – full timeSalary £22,000 – £25,000 (DOE)20 days holiday plus bank holidays & additional day off on your birthday Parking & mileage payed for (customer visits) Pension Scheme Social events (paid for by the company)
