Our highly successful client is seeking an IT Support Technician to be a first point of telephone and "in-person" contact for the Global Services Desk, resolving all IT related inquiries & incidents in the UK.The successful applicant will have good all round IT Skills and must have experience of Networking including Routing and Switching.
Company Car Allowance - Must have own transport, possess a UK driving license, and be willing to travel (with occasional overnight stays).
Responsibilities: To resolve day to day IT issues as they arise across all operational and support locationsRecord all IT support activities in the ITSM tool (ServiceNow) Maintain the IT hardware register and replenishment policy Ensure department policies and procedures are relevant and maintained.
Ensure compliance with company, group and legislative requirements.
Ensure new starters have the correct IT equipment, applications and access as required to perform their functions.
Ensure high availability of our Time and Attendance system Participate in company projects Provide Innovative Ideas and solutions to future proof our offerings to the customer base.
Skills and Experience: Essential Educated to GCSE level (including Maths and English) or equivalent Working knowledge of an IT service desk Strong technical knowledge/understanding of IT Infrastructure O365 Proven experience of working with suppliers and internal customers Proven experience of working within a similar role Preferably along with a number of the following: Project Management Accreditation ITIL/Service Management Relevant Microsoft technical certifications Navision VMWare, Veeam Desktop virtualisation HP Switchs Juniper Firewalls Project coordination or project management experience Infrastructure projects Benefits: Company Car Allowance Company pension Life Assurance Non-contractual Bonus Other Benefits: Service Days, Cycle to Work, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), Long-service Awards, Salaried Achiever Award.
