Pay rate: £12 per hour Start Date: Immediate, pending clearance Duration: 12 months, with the potential for extension Location: Gosport, Hants, PO12 3BY Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Shift Pattern: Rotational basis: Night Shift: 23:00 – 07:30 Day Shift: 07:00 – 15:30 Evening Shift: 15:00 – 23:30 Overtime: Voluntary weekend overtime available Training: On-the-job training provided Role Overview: We are recruiting for a third-party client seeking support in IT systems monitoring and management.
The successful candidate will join a dedicated Shift Team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of scheduled tasks and IT infrastructure, adhering to high service standards and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage scheduled tasks, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
Ensure the smooth operation of IT systems (hardware, software, and applications).
Diagnose and resolve system faults or escalate them as necessary.
Monitor system backups and perform maintenance tasks, taking corrective actions or escalating issues.
Manage and maintain bulk printing services and associated printers.
Handle daily movements of DR items and backup tapes, including audits and inventory checks.
Complete and distribute daily operational reports accurately.
Key Attributes: Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Sound understanding of IT systems is essential.
Excellent timekeeping to meet the demands of the shift schedule.
Full driving license preferred (required for travel between client sites).
