Our client is a UK company based in Aldershot, specialising in ultrasound imaging and reporting.
We are the exclusive UK distributor of the GE ViewPoint ultrasound reporting application.
They are offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join our team of dedicated professionals, delivering quality technology solutions to improve clinical reporting and patient care with their suite of software products.
As the IT Support Engineer, you will assist us in providing a positive customer experience and satisfaction by providing technical implementation support, project support and continuing assistance and expertise to our large installed base of users in both NHS trusts and private clinics across the UK.
You will also provide technical in-house assistance as required.
IT Support Engineer Responsibilities: Provide 1st and 2nd line telephone support to customers who have questions or issues related to application, system configuration/setup, product functionality Provide technical support to new customer installationsInstallation of software on customer servers as part of new system installations or software upgrades/migrationsAssist with ongoing system updates and upgrades to both Live and Test systemsTroubleshoot and solve technical issues including system performance, permissions, connectivity, login issues and application errors.Periodically attend customers' sites to assist in implementation and installation of new software systemsConnect the software to various hardware devices such as Ultrasound Machines, Fetal Monitors, Colposcopes etc.Assist with in-house technical requirements, new PC build, add/remove users, Office 365, Outlook etc.
IT Support Engineer Requirements: 2 years experience in a similar roleApplication support experience is desirableDegree in an IT-related discipline is very desirableMCSE certification is desirableA good grounding in an IT background from a technical standpoint along with an understanding of TCP/IP, Windows Active Directory, Networking with some SQL knowledge.Experience in 365/Azure management, AWS, Office 365, Outlook, Windows OS, Mac OSSome experience of clinical NHS environment or applications will be beneficialA strong communicator, happy liaising at all levels both internally and with clients in NHS environmentAn ability to foster and maintain strong customer relationships is very important so very good communication skills (both written and verbal)Excellent problem-solving skills, a strong customer-service orientation and commitment to ensuring timely, quality solutions to customer issues Proven track record of working in a busy environmentFull driving license required IT Support Engineer Benefits: Monday to Friday 8:45 – 5pm (changing to 8-8 rota basis in the future) Salary £20,000 – 26,000 (negotiable & DOE) Competitive salaryPrivate health care Free Parking23 days holiday per annum + bank holidays Pension schemeCareer progression
