Technical Support Engineer My Yorkshire based client is looking to recruit an experienced Technical Support Engineer to provide a first class support function to end users across multiple sites.
Working in a small team, the IT Support Technician will: Operate and manage the IT Helpdesk, triaging incoming tickets, undertaking diagnosis and resolution in line with predefined SLA's, escalating where appropriate.
Provide a comprehensive second line support across hardware, software, networking and system access.
Undertake hardware and software installation and maintenance.
Undertake proactive maintenance and updates in order to mitigate risk.
Undertake accurate documentation for IT processes, system configuration and user guides.
Develop and update the knowledge base.
Undertake continuous improvement, staying current with the latest technology trends and best practices.
Assist in the training and onboarding of new starters.
Provide project support for major IT projects, taking ownership of assigned tasks ensuring timely and successful completion.
Take an interest in the learning and support of Business systems and Data – specifically SQL, Reporting and Enterprise applications.
Technically, the successful IT Support Analyst will possess the following: Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Server 2016 onwards Office 365 applications, Microsoft InTune Active Directory, Group Policies Hyper-V Backup technologies – ideally Veeam) IP Telephony (Avaya / RingCentral).
Understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Experience in managing wireless networks (Unifi) Wide Area Networking using SonicWall Firewalls Mimecast Security Solutions Dell Server Hardware HP Storage Area Networks (SAN) Artificial Intelligence – Co-Pilot SQL Server Power BI This role will necessitate a current driving licence and a willingness to travel throughout the UK as required In return, you will be offered an attractive salary and benefits package.
