SSE Corporate IT Summer Placement - IT Architecture Support Start date: June, 2025 (12 weeks)

Locations: Reading, Havant

Base Salary: circa £23,422 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The IT Architecture Support role is responsible for assisting the IT Architecture team in delivering and maintaining the IT architecture vision, roadmap, and baseline for the organization. The role involves working closely with the IT Architecture Lead and other IT architects to manage the architecture backlog, ensure alignment with the strategic roadmap, and produce high-quality architecture deliverables and visions.

Key Responsibilities: Architecture Backlog Management: Prioritize, track, and update the architecture backlog items, ensuring clarity and alignment with architecture principles and standards.Baseline Management: Support the IT Architecture team in maintaining and updating the architecture baseline, document changes, and perform quality checks on architecture artifacts.Strategic Roadmap: Contribute to the development of the IT architecture strategic roadmap, identify gaps, and define architecture transition initiatives.Architecture Deliverables and Visions: Assist in producing and presenting architecture deliverables, including diagrams, models, and reports. You'll be studying for, or have graduated with a degree in one of the following disciplines: computer science, information technology and systems, software engineering and development, technology risk and audit, cyber security, cloud, data science, data analytics, statistics, architecture, or service management.
