You will be accountable for ensuring service availability, managing key third-party relationships, and driving continuous improvement across all IT services.
This role combines technical expertise, team management, client relationship management, and strategic oversight of IT services to support business goals.
The IT Services Manager will lead a dedicated team that supports IT across the business, manage infrastructure, and uphold information security standards while responding to the evolving needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Roles and Responsibilities Service Desk Management Line management of the Service Desk, ensure SLAs and quality of service are maintained.
Act as a 3rd-line engineer for complex investigations or during Senior Technical Engineer absences.
Infrastructure Management Maintain internet and network connectivity services, including managing switching and wireless networks within Walsall.
Oversee firewall change management for Cisco Meraki and Sophos Cloud XG.
Manage Azure IaaS environments and associated infrastructure Incident and Risk Management Coordinate threat and vulnerability management, including penetration testing and responding to identified vulnerabilities.
Work with the business to ensure IT continuity plans align with the overall BCP Act as the key point of contact for IT-related issues during disruptions and outages Serve as a 24x7 on-call resource for critical IT incidents, including security alert responses.
Information Security Management Ensure systems, networks and applications meet compliance requirements Implement the technical aspects of the ISO 27001 ISMS policies and procedures.
Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with IT security standards.
Assess third-party supplier data protection and compliance.
Support RFIs and other business development activities Submit regular reports on InfoSec posture, cyber threats, ransomware readiness, and key control metrics to stakeholders.
Team Leadership and Development Provide leadership and mentoring to the IT team, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Define team objectives and conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings to monitor performance.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment Financial Oversight Manage the IT Operations budget, ensuring financial efficiency.
Approve invoices and manage financial planning for IT services.
Technical Expertise Proficiency in managing and configuring: - Microsoft Azure (Global Admin, Account Owner, Entra ID, IaaS).
- Exchange AND Twilio platforms.
- Network infrastructure including Cisco Meraki and Sophos firewalls.
Security tools like Darktrace, Microsoft Defender and BitDefender .
Experience with data redaction processes Key Qualifications Proven experience in IT Service Management, including infrastructure, networking, and client-facing roles.
Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 standards and NIST compliance frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in incident response scenarios.
