About Houzecheck Houzecheck is an ambitious, fast-growing PE-backed technology company committed to disrupting the residential surveying market in the UK.
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and manage onsite and offshore IT development teams resulting in successful delivery of IT projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of project management methodologies, and the ability to effectively manage resources and timelines.
This is a senior role reporting to the founding Director.
The role has the potential to evolve into Head of Product and Engineering.
Role You will have the overall responsibility for management of existing IT systems and delivery of new IT projects.
Houzecheck has a suite of technologies both off-the-shelf and custom developed.
The candidate will take ownership of all current and new IT systems.
The business is being backed by private equity investment and has ambitious plans to invest in the technology in line with the revenue growth.
You will lead the team professionally to deliver IT projects on time, budget and scope.
Excellent management skills are required to keep the team energy, motivation, clarity and sense of purpose high.
You will need to lead by example, in all aspects of your own conduct and performance so that you gain the team's trust and respect.
You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Conducting one-to-one and team meetings, ensuring the team is kept up-to-date with the roadmap, plans, priorities, information and changes.
Key Responsibilities   • Develop understanding and ownership of existing IT systems • Develop and own roadmap for future IT projects • Plan and lead the successful delivery of all IT projects • Manage the team of developers, business analyst, QA analyst, designer etc.
• Work with business stakeholders to define the scope and requirements for new projects • Manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle • Produce documentation including project scope, project plan, project deliverables, release notes and user guides • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the projects • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the projects • Keep management up-to-date on the project status; review bugs, plan releases, anticipate and react to change • Review and manage risk and issue registers for the provision of mitigation or remediation actions Skills, experience & attributes required • Minimum 10 years' experience in a software/IT environment with business systems, custom development, CRM and websites • Minimum 5 years' experience as IT Project Manager, Product Manager, Engineering Manager or Technical Lead • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products, including Project, Visio, Excel and Word • Experience of successfully managing small to mid-sized IT projects • Experience working in start-ups or fast-growing tech environments.
