Role Overview This role involves working on both internal systems and with external clients.
The successful candidate will drive innovation to ensure our technical department delivers outstanding service in terms of both solutions and equipment, including the installation and configuration of sophisticated IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Serve as a 3rd line escalation point for intricate infrastructure issues and support queries.
Participate in the delivery of new projects and chargeable change requests.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for service offerings based on client feedback.
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to a diverse client base.
Mentor junior team members.
Visit client sites to provide infrastructure support and act as their primary IT contact.
Essential Criteria Extensive experience with Microsoft Server solutions.
Proficient in deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory services.
Experience with virtualisation technologies, particularly VMware and Hyper-V, on HPE and Dell hardware.
Skilled in networking and configuration of switches, firewalls, routers, storage, and Wi-Fi.
Experience with deploying and supporting clustered virtualisation solutions.
Expertise in managing Active Directory domains across multiple locations.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Email, Security, MFA, and applications like SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
Capable of physically deploying vendor hardware in server cabinets at customer sites.
Adept at troubleshooting and escalating issues within the team as needed.
Exceptional personal management skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, manage time effectively, and approach problem-solving proactively.
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude, capable of handling diverse situations and explaining technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Full, valid UK driving licence and personal transport.
Ability to produce high-quality design documentation with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
